The short ear has limited holding power; the core of the mounting system is the slot. During installation, ensure the short ear is fully seated in the slot to avoid instability caused by only halfway insertion.
The color is used only to differentiate models and to meet industry color matching conventions. The same material provides the same dirt resistance and heat dissipation performance. The gray casing may show dirt more noticeably in dusty environments, but regular cleaning with a dry cloth will not affect performance.
The more cores a cable has, the tighter the connector needs to be, so the insertion and removal force will vary slightly. The 24-core cable requires slightly more force than the 12-core and 8-core cables.
Excessive force can cause internal fiber optic cables to misalign or deform the alignment pins. Avoid forcible insertion or removal.
There are two ways: 1. Observe the position of the tab: The tab on the Key Up end is usually at the top of the connector, while the tab on the Key Down end is at the bottom. 2. Look at the tiny markings on the edge of the connector: Some products have a "U" on the Key Up end and a "D" on the Key Down end. It's recommended to mark the side of the adapter with a marker before installation to avoid confusion.
